You will assist with mechanical fitting and assembly activities, working on a day shift (Mon-Fri), with the potential of overtime. Due to expansion, they are looking for additional commissioning engineers to support he build, test and worldwide commissioning of their equipment on customer sites. The Role: This is a unique position I many ways: The commissioning engineer will become the product specialist by building and testing (electrically biased) the machinery in their state of the art workshop in Rotherham. This involves electrical, and mechanical assembly, reading from schematics. The equipment is PLC controlled. Panel wiring and machine wiring. You will then be the commission engineer for the customer, spending a few weeks away from home at a time in places like USA, China, Europe Required Experience: The commissioning engineer will be qualified electrical engineer with a NVQ3 as a minimum. This is a very technical product but and although full product training is given but you must be an excellent problem solver and a strong customer facer. Flexibility to travel and work away from home is essential (approx 25% travel per year) You could be a maintenance engineer looking for more variety in your role, a service engineer looking for international travel or a workshop based engineer looking for that next step in your progression.
