They are a large Global business based in Birmingham who have been established for over 50 years. Our client supplies various aerospace products to some of the largest OEMs and governments in the world. This well-known and large global Aerospace manufacturing group have recently acquired a few large contracts. Our client currently makes 28million pounds profit a quarter, this is an excellent time to join a large manufacturing group with strong backing from large American manufacturing group. Our client is a huge believer in training so the opportunity progress and receive industry relevant training is top notch. Overview Maintenance Supervisor Role Responsibility for supporting the growth of the manufacturing operations across the site, implementing maintenance procedures & continuous improvement processes to streamline and shape manufacturing capabilities, keeping downtime to a minimum. Managing a team of 9 engineers. You will be working in a heavy industry environment working on foundry equipment, furnaces, large presses, vacuum systems and forge furnaces. Recording spares used for re-order. Scheduling work for your team. Carrying out safe isolation of plant to permit requirements. Completing condition-based monitoring schedules Part of a TPM team to continuously improve plant. Carrying out planned preventative maintenance schedules. Carrying out planned maintenance work Isolation of plant under a permit to work. When an emergency Carry out immediate repairs of production equipment and machines in the case of breakdowns with regards to all elements of failure, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic etc., representing Production areas The Candidate The Maintenance Supervisor formally qualified in mechanical or electrical and knowledge of hydraulics are ideal for this role. Experience working in a heavy industry will be preferred but not essential. Ability to work to strict deadlines Experience managing a team The Benefits Salary - £57,000 OTE 65K plus Our client currently has bonus scheme paying out every quarter. Excellent overtime available. Will look at candidates who are in engineering roles and want to step up into leadership in the future.
